About the role
Octopus is automation-first by design. You'll build the agentic workflows that turn manual back-office work (reservation changes, supplier confirmations, operations checks) into flows that run themselves. You'll work across the platform's modules with a direct line into how DMCs and tour operators actually operate, and your success metric is hours of manual work removed, not features shipped.
What you'll do
- Design and ship agentic workflows that automate reservation, operation and supplier follow-up flows end to end
- Integrate LLM-driven steps (classification, extraction, drafting) into existing module pipelines
- Build the guardrails, evals and fallbacks that let automations fail safely in production
- Work with operations-side product managers to find the highest-leverage manual work to remove
- Instrument everything: measure hours saved and error rates, not demo quality
What we're looking for
- 3+ years building production backend systems (.NET, Node.js or similar)
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, function calling and agent frameworks
- You think in workflows and failure modes, not demos
- Comfortable owning a problem from framing to production metrics
- Working proficiency in English
Nice to have
- Travel-tech or B2B SaaS domain experience
- Message queues and event-driven architecture
- You've shipped an internal automation people actually rely on
