Candidate Consent Declarations

Last updated: 15 September 2026

This English text is a courtesy translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Turkish version prevails.

Applies to job applications made through the octopusplus.com Careers page.

The three declarations below are presented on the application form as separate checkboxes and are entirely optional. Leaving them unchecked does not affect how your application is assessed in any way. General information on how your personal data is processed is set out in the Candidate Privacy Notice.

Consent Declaration on Special Categories of Personal Data That May Appear in a CV

During recruitment we do not ask for special categories of personal data within the meaning of Article 6 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), such as race, ethnic origin, religion, sect, philosophical belief, political opinion, membership of a union, foundation or association, health, blood type or criminal record.

However, you may choose to include such information in the CV or cover letter you upload. This consent declaration exists solely for that possibility.

If you consent: any special categories of personal data in your CV may be stored under your explicit consent, pursuant to KVKK Article 6/2, solely to keep your application file intact.

If you do not consent: even if such information appears in your CV, it is not taken into account in the assessment and is not used as a discriminatory factor in any decision.

Regardless of whether you consent, the recruitment assessment is based solely on the criteria for suitability for the position under the Company's general policy; data covered by this declaration is never used as the basis of discriminatory treatment.

The declaration on the form: “I give my explicit consent to the storage of any special categories of personal data (such as health, religion or union membership) that I may have chosen to include in my CV or cover letter, solely to keep my application file intact.”

Consent Declaration on Keeping a CV in the Talent Pool

As set out in the Candidate Privacy Notice, the recruitment process for the position you applied for ends within 1 (one) year of its conclusion, and your personal data is deleted at the end of that period.

If your application is unsuccessful, keeping your CV for longer than that period, so that you can be considered for a suitable position that may open in the future, requires your explicit consent. This declaration exists solely for that additional retention period and does not affect the assessment of your application in any way.

Retention period: If you consent, your CV and application details are kept in the talent pool for a total of 2 (two) years from your application date. This period does not replace the 1-year retention period in the Privacy Notice; it is an upper limit that runs from the application date and encompasses and complements it. At the end of the period your CV is deleted, destroyed or anonymised in accordance with KVKK and the applicable legislation.

If you are hired: If your application is successful and you start work, your CV is removed from the talent pool; from that date your data continues to be processed in your capacity as an employee, under a separate privacy notice and retention regime.

Purpose of use: A CV kept in the pool is used solely to contact you again about a suitable position that may open in the future; it is not processed for any other purpose or shared with third parties.

Access: By default, a CV kept in the pool is visible only to the Company's Human Resources staff responsible for recruitment, and their access is limited to the applications they are responsible for.

The declaration on the form: “Even if my application is unsuccessful, I give my explicit consent to my CV and application details being kept in the talent pool for a total of 2 years from the application date, so that I can be considered for a suitable future position.”

Consent Declaration on Sharing a Pooled CV With Other Group Companies

We also ask whether, if a suitable position opens at one of the other group companies under SAN Companies (Paximum Turizm Ticaret ve Taahhüt A.Ş., Paximum Bilişim Teknolojileri A.Ş.), you would like your CV in the talent pool to be shared with the Human Resources staff responsible for recruitment at that company.

This consent is meaningful only if you have given the talent pool consent and depends on it; withdrawing the talent pool consent automatically ends this consent as well.

If you do not consent, your CV remains visible only to the Company's relevant staff and is not shared with the other group companies.

The declaration on the form: “I give my explicit consent to my CV in the talent pool also being shared with the recruitment staff of the other group companies under SAN Companies if a suitable position opens there.”

Nature and Withdrawal of Consent

  • All three consents are entirely optional; leaving them unchecked does not affect the assessment of your current application in any way.
  • You may withdraw each consent separately at any time by e-mailing info@santsg.com.
  • Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the date of withdrawal.
  • The consents you give or decline are recorded together with your application.
